Shri Gulabchand Talakchand Sheth (Gulabkaka) was born in Patanvav (Ex. Gondal State) Saurashtra on 25th February 1906 in the middle class family of Shri Talakchand Virji Sheth.
"Gulabkaka" a man of simple living and high ideals was always at the help of poor, needy and deserving people. His family wanted him in business. However, he preferred to be away from all this and spent his life for service to the society and decided to use all his earnings for the betterment of the community. He organised and helped scores of institutions and organisations during his lifetime. After his demise on 13.06.1967, all his wealth was given to the Charitable Trust to be utilized for the public good.
The name of Gulabkaka is always remembered in all corners of Saurashtra. Be it in the field of Health, Education, Social service or any activity related to community service. |
